Mercedes-Benz Young Star Driver Programme Season II
Mercedes-Benz Young Star Driver Programme is back in India. Registrations for the ‘season II' of the popular racing driver discovery programme are now open. The programme, which had received close to 3200 applications from 48 Indian cities and towns last year, is expected to be an even more competitive event this time over.
Aspirants aged between 18 and 25 can register for the Young Star Driver programme. While anyone can register, priority will be given to applicants who have some background and achievement in motorsports.
A nationwide evaluation process based on different criterions like race track training, racing acumen, racing aptitude and accomplishments will be carried out by Vicky Chandhok and his team. The jury will then finalise the top 24 participants who will compete against each other at the Buddh International Circuit on 8th August 2014 for the title.
The winner will be get a seat in the AMG Driving Academy basic and advanced course in India and will also undergo PRO-Training in Germany. In addition, the winner will get a chance to meet and interact with Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One team drivers - Lewis Hamilton or Nico Rosberg.
The runners-up gets to train in the AMG Driving Academy basic & advanced course in India.
