Mechanic Develops Device To Increase Mileage & Reduce Emission

By Ganesh

A humble small town mechanic from Ichalkaranji, in Kolhapur, Maharashtra has developed a new device that is said to be capable of reducing fuel consumption by as much as 10 to 15 percent and black soot emission by as much as 50 percent.

The mechanic, named Anil Vasudeo, calls his device an activator-cum-pollution control device. He had applied for patent in December 2013 at the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (CGPDTM), which has now been approved.

Additionally, the International Organization for Standardization has also provided his device with the ISO 9001:2008 certification, which is a huge deal.

Vasudeo, who has studied till Class VII, says his device reduces emission by breaking the hydrogen-carbon chain that takes place during fuel combustion in the engine, by increasing clean air intake. Vasudeo also claims the working process of the device reduces engine noise by 20 percent.

It has taken Vasudeo seven years to develop the device, which included a three year long testing phase during which he tried it out in a variety of vehicles - two wheeled and four wheeled.

The device has now been sent for testing at various testing centers in the country which will accredit it with being sustainable, efficient and durable under various environmental & driving conditions.

Vasudeo says several car companies have already approached asking him sell the rights to his invention. However, he is more interested in carrying on developing the device.
