Jaguar XF Now In India At INR 44.5 Lakhs

Jaguar has announced the production of the Jaguar XF Saloon in India. The Jaguar XF Saloon will now be locally produced at its facility in Pune, India. The Jaguars will be built alongside Land Rover Freelander 2 vehicles which have been produced in Pune since May 2011.
However, what interests us is the new 2.2-litre diesel engine, which is coming to the Indian market for the first time.

The Indian market Jaguar XF built in India will initially receivethe company's acclaimed 2.2-litre diesel engine, which is coming to the Indian market for the first time.

The XF will also be offered in3.0-litre V6 Turbodiesel and 5.0-litre V8 Petrol Supercharged.

Key features across the 2013MY XF range are:

An array of upgrades available as standard features such as: rear view camera, TV Tuner, navigation system, optimized audio and navigation controls, front passenger seat away, touch screen, gear shifting paddles, full size spare wheel, electric sunroof and rear screen electric blind.

Significantly improved efficiency through a newly expanded powertrain range. Eight-speed transmissions are now mated to all engines.

The acclaimed eight-speed ZF automatic transmission complements its smooth, powerful turbocharged diesel engines and is now made standard across the XF range for all petrol and diesel powerplants.

The eight-speed ZF transmission offers better economy, reduced emissions and smoother acceleration compared to the previous six-speed equipped models.

2.2-litre i4 Turbodiesel

The highly regarded 2.2 i4 Td offers a smooth, refined and muscular power delivery ideally suited to Jaguar's sporting saloon. This variant offers 190PS with a torque measure of 450Nm. This version also benefits from engine management refinements that reduce emissions and improve fuel economy.

3.0-litre V6 Turbodiesel

The 275PS version of the 3.0 V6 Td fitted to the XF receives the eight-speed gearbox for the 2013MY and delivers reduced emissions and improved efficiency.

5.0-litre V8 Petrol Supercharged

Now in its third generation, Jaguar's powerful and charismatic 5.0 V8 petrol has won plaudits across the globe in both naturally-aspirated and supercharged variants. This all-alloy engine features a host of technologies that allow it to generate its power in a highly efficient manner, including direct injection, dual independent variable cam timing and a Roots-type twin-vortex, intercooled supercharger.
