Hyundai Xcent Receives 11,000 Bookings In A Month
When Hyundai Motor India launched the Xcent compact sedan about a month back the automaker expected the car to make an impact. 30 days later it looks like the Xcent is on the right track.
Hyundai has announced that it has received bookings for over 11,000 units of the Xcent compact sedan in 30 days from over 100,000 enquires at dealerships across the country. The demand has been particularly high in metros and Tier II cities, as expected.
Going just by the numbers, the Xcent seems to be doing not too bad compared to its rival from Honda, the Amaze, which had received 20,000 bookings in under 2 months post its launch.

Hyundai Xcent, which is based on the Grand i10, has all the desirable features of hatchback packed in a compact sedan body which provides additional advantages such as more legroom and a segment leading 407-litre boot space.
Not surprisingly, the diesel variant, powered by the 2nd generation U2 CRDi engine, with an ARAI certified fuel economy figure of 24.4 kmpl, has come as the more popular model. The 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine, meanwhile, delivers 19.1 km to the litre (ARAI figure).
