Honda Teases 2013 CR-V In Indian Website

The new 2013 Honda CR-V is all set to be launched in India following launches at several international markets. The premium SUV from the Japanese carmaker is being teased in Honda India's website.

The new 2013 CR-V will not be a major departure from its predecessor. However, there are slight changes and improvements in terms of features while the design also gets a fresher look. Looking in to the technical aspects, Honda has retained the petrol engines found in the previous edition and unfortunately not added any diesel engines.

The petrol engine available with the 2013 Honda CR-V will be the 2-litre four cylinder i-VTEC engine that will deliver 153bhp and 190Nm of torque. The new Honda CRV will be available with a five speed manual and a five speed automatic gearbox.

The CR-V has lost out to its competitors such as the Chevrolet Captiva, Ford Endeavor and Toyota Fortuner primarily because it does not have a diesel engine. The CR-V diesel would have been a welcome addition to Honda's line-up but we have to wait longer to witness a Honda diesel car in India. Honda will be launching the Brio based compact sedan- Amaze in diesel in India later this year.

The 2013 Hondsa Cr-V's price is expected to be around INR 28 lakhs. Buyers will definitely feel the price is slightly high considering it does not come with the all important diesel option. However, Honda's promise of quality and reliability will be the positive aspects that will support new CRV.
