Honda NSX GT Race Car ; Coming Soon
The Honda NSX-GT will compete for the first time in the Japanese Super GT racing, this year. Even before the streetcar goes on sale, later this year.
The car is powered by a four-cylinder 2.0liter turbocharged engine and equipped with a race hybrid system. Previous editions witnessed cars racing with a 3.4-liter V8 engine, however new rules this year will see a move to smaller capacity engines.
The production NSX, however will sport a twin-turbo V6 hybrid engine. Hondas Sport Hybrid Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive will be featured.

The NSX-GT will not be alone at the Tokyo Auto Salon. Honda CR-Z GT race car that won driver and team championships respectively in last year's Super GT Series.
Honda NSX is a sports car that was produced during 1990 to 2005. Equipped with a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive layout, powered by an all-aluminium V6 petrol engine. It also featured Honda's revolutionary Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) system.
The first NSX concept was designed by Pininfarina an Italian car designer. However, Honda engineers had decided their car would be faster than the Italian or German cars. This gave birth to the first NSX.
The bodywork of the car was designed after the F-16 fighter jet. The Japanese spent huge amounts of time and money developing the NS-X. Honda is known for having great development resources at its disposal and made complete use of them.
