Engine And Gearbox Specifications
The Honda BR-V uses petrol and disesl engines both of which displace 1.5-liters each.
The 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 117bhp and 140Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 98bhp and 200Nm of torque.
Both the petrol and diesel engines are mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox but the petrol also has the option of a 6-speed CVT automatic gearbox which comes with paddleshifters.
The BR-V petrol returns a mileage of 15.4km/l with the manual gearbox while the automatic returns a mileage of 16km/l. The Honda BR-V diesel returns a mileage of 21.9km/l.
The BR-V reminds you of its larger sibling the CR-V from the front with its squared off looks. The chrome grille is flanked on both sides by sleek headlamps and sits above a large air dam.
The rear of the car is rather bland with only the LED taillamps and the chrome slat above the numberplate holder providing any relief from the flatness of the rear.
Both the front and rear bumpers are fitted with faux skid plates and a plastic cladding runs across the bottom of the vehicle.
Inside, the BR-V has a premium look and feel. The centre console features the controls for the infotainment system and the automatic A/C and is finished off in piano black. The steering wheel features controls for the infotainment system and in the top end automatic petrol variant, there are paddle shifters as well.
Booking for the BR-V started before the SUV's launch and the the new BR-V is available in all Honda dealerships across Bangalore and Karnataka.
