Honda Amaze will be offered in two engine variants and two transmission options.
The 1.2 liter i-VTEC petrol unit, which it shares with the Brio, generates 88 PS power and 109 Nm torque.
Mileage on the petrol depends on the transmission used. Use of manual transmission offers 18 kmpl and use of automatic transmission offers 15.5 kmpl.
The diesel engine is a 1.5 liter i-DTEC unit that produces 100 PS power and 200 Nm torque.
However, only manual transmission will be offered with the diesel engine, with no plans for an automatic in the near future. Mileage, as stated earlier, is 25.8 kmpl.
To be noted is that Honda Amaze diesel beats its chief rival Maruti Suzuki Dzire both in term of performance and mileage, at least on paper
DZire diesel offers 75 PS and 190 Nm of power and torque respectively and delivers 23.4 kmpl
Other notable features include 14 inch alloy wheels covered in 175/65 R14 tyres, air-con, safety features such as dual airbags, ABS and EBD, indicators on outside rear view mirrors, center armrest with cup holders and a 400 liter boot space.
Honda Amaze will be offered in Black, Silver, White, Azure, Grey and Blue.
