Datsun GO Launched; Price & Variant Details

Nearly an year after first announcing Datsun Go the hatchback has finally been launched. It was also exactly a 100 years ago the first DAT car (which eventually became Datsun) came into existence. As a tribute, the GO variants offered are D, A & T.

The first Datsun of the 21st century has been priced at INR 3.12 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The starting price is not the lowest in this segment that includes the Alto K10 and Hyundai Eon, but it also has to do with what's being offered for that money.

Base variant D

The base D variant offers digital tachometer, drive computer that displays instantaneous fuel economy, average fuel economy and distance to empty, follow-me-home headlamps, speed sensitive wipers and silver finish front radiator grille. Note: Left wing mirror, and bottle holders and map pockets on the door are optional features (D1 trim).

Mid variant A

All the features of base variant, with the addition of air conditioner with filter, chrome front grille, body coloured bumpers and Jacquard seat upholstery.

Top variant T

All the earlier features along with speed sensitive electric power steering, front power windows, Mobile Docking Station (MDS) with amplifier, universal mobile holder, aux-in and USB charger, front speakers, central locking and full wheel covers.

Datsun GO engine & mileage

The GO hatchback is powered by the 67 bhp/106 Nm of torque, 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Datsun GO has an ARAI certified mileage of 20.63 kmpl. Datsun is also providing a road-side assistance and a 2 year unlimited km warranty which is the first in this class.
