Mahindra Scorpio Bullet Proof On Snapdeal From Defense Land Systems
Defense Land Systems is an entity that was formerly run as a joint venture between Mahindra and England's BAE Systems.
Defense Land Systems India, located in Faridabad, Haryana, is now an official arm of Mahindra's defense business. It offers armoured vehicles like the Axe, Rakshak, Marksman, up-armored and bulletproof Scorpios and Boleros, and Rapid Intervention Vehicles for both civilian and official use.

One such civilian version of Mahindra Scorpio modified by Defense Land Systems has appeared on e-commerce website Snapdeal.com. Limited number of these bullet proof Scorpio SUVs are available and they can be booked for an amount of Rs 75,000 on the website.

Being sold by Defense Land Systems, the body kit offers various levels of protection from a 9mm pistol and other small handheld firearms.
The kit includes armour panels on all sides, bullet proof glass, explosion resistant fuel tank with fire suppressing materials, real time vehicle tracking device and insurance for bullet proof materials.
Customer will be provided with 2 hours of training on how to use the security systems and emergency exit procedures by Defense Land Systems personal.
While Rs 75,000 is only the booking amount, the actual price of the bullet proof body kit, including the price of the SUV is Rs. 12.66 lakhs.
The price includes 2 years warranty, armour fitment charges and additional taxes. A regular Scorpio can also be equipped with armour pack from DLS.
