BMW & Toyota Join Hands To Develop Sports Car Platform
German carmakers BMW and Japanese automobile giants Toyota have agreed to develop a sports car platform. There will be two cars developed, that would be authentic to the brands.
An agreement was signed earlier in January between Toyota and BMW on various other projects, that include lightweight technology and lithium-air batteries.
It was earlier reported that they would study the potential for a joint platform for a mid-sized sports vehicle.

BMW has its own line up of sports cars, that are tagged the M series. They are available in almost all of their product line-up. Right from saloons, coupes, convertibles and SUVs.
These are high performance cars, that are matched with an extraordinary look on the exterior. However, the magic of the M lie under the hood.

Toyota on the other side has developed model GT86. A grand tourer model and sports coupe is available. It was jointly developed by Toyota and Subaru. The car was sold under different names in various markets.
The bigger picture is, BMW and Toyota's venture will definitely enthrall the sports enthusiasts. So watch this space to know more on the development.
