Aston Martin Holding Talks With Mercedes-Benz Over SUV Launch
Aston Martin, the century old British automaker, is reportedly in talks with Daimler owned Mercedes-Benz over the development of an SUV for the former.
Financial Times has learned from its sources that an Aston Martin could become a reality within three to four year. However, Aston Martin has denied the reports saying they currently do not have any plan to add an SUV to their product lineup.

The same sources also informed FT that jointly developing an SUV is, but one of the many possible areas of collaboration between the two automakers.

What is, however, confirmed is that Mercedes-Benz is ready to share its GL-Class platform with Aston Martin if the latter is indeed launching its first ever SUV.
Aston Martin and Mercedes-Benz formed a partnership late last year as per which the German company owns a 5 percent non-voting share in the British company. Also, Mercedes-AMG will supply/develop engines and electric components for use in Aston Martin cars.
If and when the SUV wearing an Aston Martin badge will arrive it is most definitely going to be the production version of the Lagonda Concept pictured above.
