Alfa Romeo 4C Sports Coupe: Images And Details
Alfa Romeo 4C, referred to as a ‘compact supercar' by the automaker, was shown to the world during the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. Now, after two full years Alfa's sports car is ready to be revealed again, this time in production guise.
Ahead of its unveiling Alfa has released production images of the exterior and interior of the car, along with details about its engine. The 4C has remained the same since its concept days, with only a minor design change seen on the headlamps. Go through the gallery below and learn more about the Alfa Romeo 4C.

Engine
As suspected before the announcement, the 4C is powered by a 1.75L direct fuel injected four cylinder engine, producing 240 HP. We also know that the car will have a power to weight ratio of "less than 4kg/hp" as mentioned by Alfa. This means the 4C weighs about 980kgs.

Transmission
The car will transfer power to the rear wheels through "Alfa TCT" twin dry clutch transmission, with paddle shifters.

DNA Selector
Alfa's DNA Selector offers driving modes such as Dynamic, Natural and All Weather, now with the addition of Race mode.

Body
As like most sports cars these days, the 4C has a central monocoque made completely from carbon fiber, while the front and rear end of the chassis is built using aluminium to save weight.

Interior
The interior, as seen in the image, has been given a minimalistic feel with exposed carbon fiber and aluminium trims. Also, the center console visible here, is part of the carbon central tub.

Diemension
While the 4C is low, being a supercar, it is also small, unlike most supercars. The "compact supercar" is 1.18m high and 2.0m wide. The overall length, however, is less than 4 meters long, with a wheelbase of less than 2.4 meters.
