Subaru WRX STI Race Car For 2015
Subaru will reveal the new 2015 WRX STI at the Detroit Auto Show. The Japanese automaker will be showcasing the new racing version, set to compete at the Nürburgring 24 Hours. This will be the Subaru in-house tuner's seventh consecutive outing competing in the world's toughest endurance races.
Subaru and STI Engineers have worked extensively in the development of the race car. The car will compete in the SP3T class, allowing production vehicles with turbocharged engines and having a displacement of 1.6 to 2.0 liters. The Japanese car will feature a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder boxer engine.
Team Manager, Hideharu Tatsumi is paying keen attention to the development of the car. Toshihiro Yoshida and Kouta Sasaki from Japan are listed with two more European drivers.
Best Way To Practice In A Subaru
Subaru has had a successful outing in recent years. The Japanese car manufacturer will be aiming for its third class victory this year. Subaru participates in such events to showcase and enhance their engineering prowess.
Subaru will continue with its BRZ-based race car, to compete in GT300 class of Japan's Super GT touring car series. Kouta Sasaki and Takuto Iguchi will drive the cars. The team will operate in conjunction with R&D SPORT led by Shinji Motojima.
Subaru will continue supporting private teams in rally events comprising of the World Rally Championship 2 (WRC2) and European Rally Championship (ERC).
