2015 Geneva Motor Show: Suzuki iK-2 Compact Hatchback Concept Revealed
The gates of Geneva Motor Show will open to general public on 5th to 15th of March, 2015. Several manufacturers have teased us with their concept and future model images. Suzuki has revealed their compact hatchback concept at the grandest motor shows of them all.
Suzuki has confirmed that their iK-2 compact hatchback will be introduced in Europe during 2016. It will also be coming to India as the Japanese manufacturers premium hatchback, which is being tested under the codename YRA.
The iK-2 concept vehicle draws inspiration from Suzuki's most popular hot hatchback, the Swift. It will sit above their high-selling Swift hatchback and will make its entry into several markets. The hatchback will be one to watch out for on Indian roads.
The primary design element of the iK-2 is ‘Liquid Flow', which has been brilliantly achieved. It has smooth lines across its bodywork with a muscular power bulge on its bonnet. The compact hatchback is in its pre-production stage and most of the design elements will be carried forward.
The concept iK-2 will be powered by a 1.0-litre BOOSTERJET engine, no performance figures were provided. Suzuki have developed its compact hatchback on an all-new platform. It will be 4,023mm long, 1,920mm wide with a height of 1,450mm.
