Volkswagen To Increase Vento, Polo Prices?
Volkswagen's price hike will follow similar price hikes by other carmakers. Toyota had earlier announced a marginal increase in prices of its entire product range in India. The German carmaker has so far not made any official statement on this possible price hike.
A price hike would hurt Volkswagen India now as its sales have seen a slight decline this June. The company's success in India can be attributed to the performance of the Polo and the Vento in the market. With increasing competition and low customer sentiment already taking a toll on car sales, Volkswagen's decision for a price hike could hurt it.
The Volkswagen Polo is a premium hatchback available in both petrol and diesel versions. Here is the current price list of the Polo (all prices ex showroom Delhi)
