Extended Deadline To Remove Sun Films Till June 5

The decision by the traffic police was made on the basis of public demand seeking more time to remove sun films from window screens of cars.
Bangalore City Police Commissioner BG Jyothiprakash Mirji said: “We have decided to extend the deadline as the public and several organisations have requested us to stretch the deadline to June 5."
The cops have also set up free sun film removal centres in 10 places across the city. The police informed that these centres will function in the city till June 5. Read: Remove sun film from your car easily)
The violators of the new rule will be fined Rs 300 for the first time. On repeating the offence, the cops would slap Rs 300 and for the third time, they would seize the vehicle.
Meanwhile, the ban already came into effect in the south India city of Chennai on May 17. The SC has banned the use of tinted glass on cars blocking vision beyond permissible limits prescribed under the Motor Vehicles Act.
