Renault Duster Bookings Cross 4,000 In Few Days
Renault Duster SUV which was launched on July 4 has gained more than 4,000 bookings from across the country as on July 5, Renault India's Managing Director Marc Nassif claimed. He was speaking to media at the launch of the Duster in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
The carmaker will launch the Duster in other cities according to schedule. Renault India had started taking bookings for the Duster two weeks before its launch. However, the overwhelming response is very encouraging considering the fact that carmaker did not have a popular car in the market yet.
The Renault Duster which was initially launched in Mumbai comes with a highly competitive price tag. The base petrol variant of the SUV comes at an exciting price of Rs 7.19 lakhs. Meanwhile, the diesel variant of the Duster starts at Rs 7.99 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom Mumbai). (Detailed Variant Wise Prices)
The Duster SUV comes in 8 variants - two petrol and 6 diesel. The five seater SUV will competes with the likes of Mahindra Scorpio and Tata Safari in the Indian market.
One of the major highlights of the SUV is its highly fuel efficient diesel engine. The Duster boasts best in class fuel economy of 20.45 kmpl for the 1.5 dCi K9K HP, 85 hp diesel powertrain.
