Nissan Motor India July Sales Up 118.5%

Nissan Motors India has sold a total of 3481 vehicles in July 2012 as against 1593 vehicles it sold in July last year. The Nissan Sunny, the entry-level sedan leads the sales with 2436 units and the Micra posted sales of 1028 units. The rest comprised Nissan Teana, the luxury sedan (CBU), X-trail, the lifestyle SUV (CBU) and Nissan 370Z.
Commenting on this continuous month on month performance Mr. Ishida Takayuki, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd said, "This encouraging sales is giving us great confidence that Indian customers will appreciate when right products are offered at right prices. With this current sales growth trend, we are sure, will further expand with the launch of Evalia later this year helping us establish as a dominant player at the Indian marketplace".
Mr. Nitish Tipnis, Director-Marketing & Sales, Hover Automotive India (HAI), Nissan's sales and marketing partner in India, said, "Nissan has been living up to it's commitment to the Indian market with its unique models and fast expanding network. By placing the customer at the centre of everything we do, we are approaching the Indian market with the right kind of essentials".
Nissan is all set to launch another new product the Evalia later this year. The car was unveiled during the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo.
