Nissan Evalia Official Launch Confirmed On Sept 26
Nissan will soon kick start its Festive season by launching the Evalia MPV on 26th September. The Japanese carmaker has already held pre-launch test drives of the Evalia in August and Drivespark has already presented to you a close look at the MPV. (Read Road Test Review Here)
The Evalia is Nissan's sixth model in India and the third to be made in India. Powered by the same turbocharged K9K diesel engine found in the Sunny and Micra, the Nissan Evalia's claimed fuel economy is a staggering 21kmpl.
The Nissan Evalia will be competing against models such as the Toyota Innova, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Mahindra Xylo and Tata Aria. The Japanese carmaker is very confident about its latest product and has stated that the Evalia will be a car that suits large families.
One of the most notable aspects about the Evalia that we noticed during our road test was its easy drivability in city traffic conditions and the smooth acceleration on city roads. Despite its large size and height, the handling was perfect. The Evalia is also a highly practical vehicle as its sliding doors allow easy exit.
The luggage space of the Evalia is another important feature that will impress buyers. You can increase the luggage space by folding both the middle and the rear seats. The low floor and high roof means loading and unloading luggage will not be a tedious affair.
The Nissan Evalia ill be available in four variants - XE, XE+, XL and XV. Nissan has so far remained tight lipped about their prices. Expect them to be slightly more expensive than the Mahindra Xylo but not above the price of the Toyota Innova.
