Maruti Ertiga Bags 45K Bookings Since Launch
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been performing highly for the carmaker since its launch. Now, the latest news is that the Ertiga MPV has garnered 45,000 bookings since its launch in April this year. It is the diesel model of the Eriga that is great on demand.
The figures were revealed by a senior executive at Maruti Suzuki India. The Ertiga MPV which was unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo earlier this year has been one of the most awaited cars of the year.
The Ertiga has been receiving overwhelming response with the carmaker bagging 32,000 bookings in the first month. The MPV has been receiving similar response abroad also with it marking 8,500 bookings in Indonesia even before its launch.
One of the major factors of the huge success of the Ertiga is its highly competitive pricing undercutting rivals Toyota Innova and Mahindra Xylo by a large margin. Also the fact that the Ertiga is available with a very frugal diesel powertrain adds more to it.
However, there is a waiting period of 3 to 6 months for the diesel model of the Ertiga MPV. Maruti Suzuki has ramped up production of the MPV in order to meet customer demands.
