Maruti Launches Refreshed New Ritz Diesel 5.31L

Maruti Suzuki has silently launched refreshed variants of the Ritz hatchback today. The refreshed new Ritz diesel boasts of the same technological advancements that were first seen in the new Swift launched early last year. The Ritz Diesel has a starting price of Rs.5.31 lakhs for the entry level LDi variant. Maruti has finally added a top end ZDi variant which is priced at Rs.6.23 lakhs.

The launch of the Ritz could have been a grand affair had Maruti Suzuki not faced problems at its Manesar plant. With production still going on at a low pace, Maruti Suzuki could not have risked taking in huge pre-orders and not being able to deliver them on time.

Maruti Suzuki has claimed the new Ritz diesel will offer contemporary design, unmatched performance and superb fuel efficiency. The New Ritz has 52 changes when compared with the previous version. The exterior design, interiors, the technical tit bits have all seen improvements.

If we have to list the new features of the Ritz diesel, they would be : new front design, new dual tone interiors, new ZDi variant, multi-information display on instrument panel, new audio system with USB, electrically adjustable rear view mirrors and body side moulding.The Ritz's top end variant, the new ZDi will have unique features such as alloy wheels, dual front air bags and steering audio controls.

Maruti Suzuki has made improvements in the all important mileage department with a 10% increase in fuel efficiency. The new Ritz diesel's mileage is claimed to be 23.2kmpl as against the previous version's mileage of 21.1kmpl.
