Honda Cars New Identity Coming Soon

The Japanese Giant, Honda Motor Co is working on having a new identity for its car business in India. Industry reports are stating that, following the break-up of its joint venture with Usha International and Shriram Group, the company has been working behind close doors, to make sure its new identity for its car business in India is up and running by end of this month.

The company last month, announced they are interested in buying out the Indian partner from their joint venture, Honda Siel Cars India Ltd, which was established in December 1995.

The company has applied for a name change just a week back. The name change is expected to happen within two to three weeks time. Speaking on the sideline of the annual convention of Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) here, Sharma said there would be no other structural change to the company.

Sources are reporting that, Honda will continue to have two different names for two wheeler business and car business.
