Honda Celebrations On; Huge Discounts On Offer
Honda Siel Cars India has accheived the milestone of selling 5 lakh cars in the country. The fact that Honda started selling small cars recently only adds colours to the achievement.
It is also worth noting that the carmaker doesn't have a diesel car yet with all the cars sold being petrol models. To celebrate the occasion, Honda is giving car insurance at just Re. 1 for the Brio hatchback and City, Civic sedans. However, the carmaker has sidelined the Jazz premium hatcback which is still drawing good sales.
The carmaker is also offering the added benefit of an extended warranty for 3rd and 4th year and a 4 year road side assistance cover on the Brio and City. The benefits on each cars are; Accord - Rs. 1.25 lakhs, Civic - 85 thousand, City - 35 thousand, Brio - 24 thousand. Check Honda India's official website for more details.
However, Honda has lost a large share of sales due to the lack of a diesel engine. Honda has reportedly developed the Earth Dream series of diesel engines and the company is planning to fit it in its cars soon.
There has also been news about the company planning to launch the diesel Brio by 2012 end. Meanwhile, other major carmakers like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motors and General Motors have been offering huge discounts on petrol cars to save themselves from declining sales.
