Hero Motocorp To Set Up R&D Centre In Rajasthan

To be set up in Kukas, in Japur, hero MOtoCorp's R&D Centre will be a state of the art facility that will help the company develop new technologies. Hero is now working as a stand alone company after its tie up with Honda ended. Hero is looking at advanced engine technology and has already tied up with American bike firm EBR.
Hero MotoCorp's R&D centre in Jaipur will help it develop new technology on its own and at a lower cost. This information was revealed by Hero MotoCorp Zonal-Head (South) A Srinivasulu who was at the launch of the new Hero Ignitor in Chennai.
The Hero Ignitor is the third new model from Hero MotoCorp and is powered by a 125cc four stroke engine. The Ignitor is available in two variants with the base model being priced at Rs.56,996 and the top end variant costing Rs.59,031 (ex showroom price, Chennai). Hero had previously launched the Impulse off road bike and the Maestro scooter.
The new Hero Ignitor is expected to do well in the market. Some of the new Ignitor's notable features are digital, analog meter console, front cowl and adjustable shock absorbers. The Ignitor's ATFT engine can churn out 11bhp at 8000rpm.
The new Hero Ignitor will be available in four colour options - pearl white, sports red, vibrant blue and panther black.
