Fiat India's First Exclusive Showroom In Hyderabad

Fiat is planning to expand its operations in India with a network of dedicated dealers across the country. It also plans to set up a new company to sell its global brands.
Fiat India commercial head Enrico Atanasio, who inaugurated the dealership said that the company wants to increase the number of showrooms this year from the originally planned 20. "We consider India as an important market and the company to be set up in near future will leverage this potential," he said.
Fiat vehicles are manufactured in India in joint venture between Fiat and Tata Motors. The carmaker sells 20,000 cars annually, with a market share of 0.7 percent. Punto and Linea are the cars that are currently available from Fiat India.
Enrico Atanasio: "I expect a growing role for Fiat in India. Today we are 8 percent in European market, 18 percent in Latin America and 12 percent in USA market. There is no reason why we can't improve our current market situation (in India) which is much much lower."
