Bentley To Get A Porsche Developed Platform

Autocar is reporting that all future models from Bentley will be built from Porsche-developed platform. If you are not aware, Volkswagen Group has acquired Porsche and Bentley.

The platform in question is the Porsche Panamera platform codenamed MSB. This platform is expected to make its way on all two and four wheel drive configurations of Bentley.

The new MSB platform is said to contain a mix of steel and aluminum. This platform is said to have a major improvement in terms of weight distribution over the current Bentley line-up.

In the course of time, Bentley models are likely to be powered by VW Group's next generation of high-end V12. The 6.75-litre L-series V8 engine would be seeing its end of life by early 2013.
