Mercedes-Benz AMG Performance Driving Academy

Mercedes-Benz India is doing everything possible to reposition its brand image. It has long been considered as a maker of premium luxury cars that offers the best in comfort and styling. It has been the preferred car for top level CEOs and executives. But the German carmaker has been overtaken by BMW when it comes to sales to people from the younger generations.

BMW has been very successful in marketing its cars as a driver's car. Many of its buyers like a BMW's sporty handling and performance. Mercedes-Benz has been working hard to push through the public memory that it also builds sports cars that deliver equal if not better performance.

Mercedes-Benz started of its campaign by displaying some of its sports cars at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. It also displayed its SLS AMG gull wing sports car. Now it has hinted at providing people with the complete performance car driving experience by opening its venerated AMG Performance Driving Academy at the Buddh International Circuit.

Mercedes-Benz India will also be displaying the DTM and SLS GT3 race cars for the first time in the country. The academy is currently formulating the training program for March and it will be posted on its official website soon.
