Honda Raises City Prices Again By Up To Rs 10,000

Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) Senior Vice President (Sales and Marketing) Jnaneswar Sen said, "Last week, we had passed on the impact of excise duty hike partially to our City customers as it was a big amount. However, as we do not have any other option, we are passing on the rest." "With the full implementation of the duty hike, the City prices will further go up by Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 depending on variants from April 1," Sen added.
Many carmakers had increased the price of their various models due to the excise duty hike from 10 per cent to 12 per cent in the Union Budget. Honda Siel India had also increased the prices of its different variants by by up to Rs 93,975 following the Budget.
According to the Honda's revised prices effective from March 17, the entry-level Brio hatchback got costlier by Rs 4,000 to Rs 10,000, premium hatchback Jazz bacame expensive by Rs 14,972 to Rs 15,000, the Civic premium sedan by Rs 36,600 to Rs 45,800 and its high-end sedan Accord by up to Rs 67,500 to Rs 93,975 (ex-showroom Delhi) depending on variants.
However, the carmaker did not provide any information on the prices of its CR-V crossover. This could be because Honda is preparing to launch a facelifted version soon.
