Maruti To Launch Refreshed Ritz In 2012
There have been several spy shots of the soon to be unveiled new Maruti Suzuki Ritz. The images show a brand new front grille. The bonnet of the Ritz has also got a fresh new design and the fog lights are designed differently.
The launch of the refreshed Ritz was not unexpected considering Maruti has launched the new Swift as well as the new Swift DZire. The Ritz is powered by the same engines as in the previously mentioned cars and is also built on the same platform. It was only a matter of time before Maruti Suzuki provided the Ritz with new updates.
The Ritz is expected to get some new features as well as a refreshed interior. We expect the new Ritz to come with new colours for the interior as well as a betterment in the quality of materials used.
The technical specifications of the new Ritz is expected to be very much improved when compared to the existing model. The new Ritz will get new petrol and diesel engines that are more fuel efficient and less polluting. You can see a sizable increase in the Ritz mileage. The petrol engine in the Ritz will be the 1.2-litre pot that generates 84bhp and the diesel engine will be the 1.3-litre multijet engine that generates 74bhp.
The Ritz has been to go to car for many people who felt the Swift to be slightly more expensive. Its sales had actually increased when the three strikes at Maruti's Manesar plant had reduced the availability of the Swift and pushed up its waiting period. People who did not prefer to wait for the new Swift bought the Ritz instead of opting a car from another brand.
