Volkswagen Polo Gets Premium Compact Car Award
The award was given based on evaluations made by over 8000 customers who bought the Polo between November 2010 and July 2011. The award ceremony was recently held in Delhi.
Volkswagen Group Chief Representative India, President and Managing Director, Volkswagen India Private Limited Dr. John Chacko said at the venue, “In today’s extremely competitive market, voice of the customer is one of the most important factors to understand. J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2011 India Initial Quality StudySM (IQS) is a step towards assessing the product quality from the customer’s perspective and at the same time benchmarking the product with key competitors in the market. Since the results of the J.D. Power are based on actual responses from customers, an accreditation by them proves that we are moving in the right direction and our efforts to fulfil the demands of our valued customers are paying off.”
Volkswagen cars are known for its build quality and reliability and the Polo is no different. The car offers decent ride quality, handling, safety, stability and great fuel efficiency of 22.07 km per liter for the diesel variants. The car competes with Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz etc in the Indian market. VW Polo comes in 7 variants and 6 interesting colours with a petrol engine and a diesel powertrain.
