Nissan Launches Pulsar Small Sedan In Beijing

Nissan Pulsar
The Pulsar name appears to be liked by Japanese carmaker. Nissan has launched a new small sedan at the Beijing Auto Show called the Pulsar. It is very well known that Bajaj's Pulsar is India's best selling sports Bike. Nissan has said the Pulsar sedan is a car aimed at the Australian Market.

Nissan has said the Pulsar will be sold initially as a small sedan and a hatchback variant will also be built later in 2013. The Nisan Pulsar gets some interesting features for a small car – LED bordered headlights, LED tail lights, chrome window sills, chrome door handles, dual climate control, key less entry and push-button start.

Nissan's new small sedan is powered by a 1.8-litre four cylinder engine mated to an automatic CVT gearbox. It is expected to deliver better performance along with improved fuel economy than conventional engines.

Nissan has not stated if the Pulsar will be launched in India. If it does decide to launch the sedan here, it will have to definitely rename it. Nissan did not have any problems launching its Sunny sedan in India despite there being a scooter with the same name as the scooter was no longer being sold. The Pulsar on the other hand is a brand that Bajaj will not be ready to share, particularly in India.
