Lamborghini Opens Showroom In Mumbai
Lamborghini has been selling its cars in India through Delhi-based Exclusive Motors, the sole dealer in the country till now. While Exclusive Motors will continue catering to north Indian customers, Autohangar will take care of the customers in the southern region.
Lamborghini has made a special allocation for India of 8-10 Aventador sports cars for which Indian buyers are already in a queue. The Aventador is a two-door, two-seater sports car with a massive 6.5-litre V12 700 bhp engine wich comes at a hefty price tag of around Rs 4 crore.
The company will also look to establish its own National Sales Company (NSC) in India as Volkswagen, its parent company has grown to such a level in India that it can effectively back the other brands of the group. Lamborghini expects to sell around 40-50 cars in the country by 2015.
With the arrival of other sports car makers like Ferrari, Maserati and Aston Martin, It is said that Lamborghini is looking to price its cars aggressively in order to make them competitive. Let's hope Lamborghini's would be less expensive in the coming times.
