Audi TT Launched In India At Rs 48.36 Lakh

Audi India Head Michael Perschke said at the event, "We are already a major player in the premium sports segment and I am confident that the introduction of the Audi TT will further help us consolidate our leadership position in the sports car segment in the country."
The TT is a 2-seater sports car which has been one of the most liked sports cars in Europe for its style and affordability. Under its bonnet is a 2.0 TFSI engine that churns out 214PS @ 6,000rpm of power and 350Nm @ 1,600rpm of torque. The car will touch a speed of 100 km per hour in just 5.6 seconds.
With its clever pricing, the TT has been placed at segment where there is no sports car rival for the car. The car's main competitor in the European market is the Peugeot RCZ which hasn't entered the Indian market yet. The other sports cars which Audi sells in the premium category are models like R8, R8 Spyder and RS5.
The TT's Launch will bring Audi's first new car to India this year. The car is not expected to make wonders in the market, Audi India only wants the TT to build its brand image and is expecting to sell about 50 units per year.
The Audi TT's launch is expected to be followed by its Q3 entry level premium SUV.
