Bentley's New Mulsanne For Queen's Diamond Jubilee
Bentley Motors, the British Luxurty carmaker has celebrated the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II ascending the British Throne by launching a new limited edition Mulsanne. The new Mulsanne is quite different from the regular version. The frontal design is similar to the Queen's Bentley (State Limousine) presented to Queen Elizabeth II in 2002.
Only 60 examples of the new Queen's Bentley have been built top mark the Diamond Jubilee. The car was first unveiled at Bentley Motor's latest showroom in China. This limited edition car will have several hand crafted features such as gold stitched embroidery on all head rests, veneered picnic tables in rear cabin and leather cushions that will highlight the diamond jubilee.

The Queen's Bentley has been designed by Bentley's in house coach builder Mulliner. The Mulliner division has been associated with the British Royal Family since the late 19th century where it was building coaches for horse carriages.
The diamond jubilee Queen's Bentley will be available with a wide variety of paint and leather colours that are usually not available with regular Bentleys. Richard Charlesworth, Director of Royal and VIP Relations, Bentley Motors in his comments on the Queen's new Bentley said: “This series of special cars, hand-built by our Mulliner Division, is our way of reciprocating the appreciation for British institutions, creativity and services we have been shown in China.”
China has emerged as Bentley Motors' largest market and this could be the reason behind Bentley unveiling the Diamond Jubilee Mulsanne in a Chinese showroom instead of its home market of England.
The Bentley Mulsanne captures the essence of the Bentley marque. It is elegant yet distinctly sporting in character, delivering effortless performance, while within its sumptuous cabin, advanced technology sits discreetly with handcrafted luxury. Designed and engineered at Crewe from the ground-up, the Mulsanne has reaffirmed the Bentley's intent to create a luxury grand tourer with refined performance, unparalleled levels of interior luxury and coach building skills to the fore.
