Tata Motors Set To Open 350 Nano Showrooms

According to Tata Motors' plans, it will set up 230 exclusive Nano showrooms within the next 12 months. There are 120 showrooms already operational in the country. So with 350 exclusive showrooms, Tata Nano could be seen almost every where.
TM Telang, the marketing head of Tata Motors has said the carmaker has to sell 10,000 units of the Nano to be profitable. The company has managed to breach this figure only a couple of months. This means the Nano is yet to bring in the expected money.
After finding it was hard to sell as many cars only in India, Tata Motors has already started selling the Nano in Sri Lanka as well as in Nepal. It will soon begin selling the small car in Bangladesh too. Tata Motors has also offered attractive exchange schemes as well as discounts to push the Nano's sales.
Tata Motors is copying the efforts of Maruti Suzuki. Maruti has more than 1000 showrooms across 555 cities and towns and is the undisputed leader when it comes to sales networks. This network is the reason behind the Alto being Maruti Suzuki's as well as the country's best selling model.
