Hyundai Launches Fluidic Sonata At Rs.18.52L

Hyundai has launched its latest premium sedan, the new Fluidic Sonata with a starting price of Rs.18.52 lakhs. The new sedan follows Hyundai's fluidic design philosophy with a flowing exterior design. First unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo in January this year, the Sonata has been awaiting its launch since more than two months.

Hyundai has launched an automatic variant of the Fluidic Sonata priced at Rs. 20.61 lakhs (ex showroom Delhi). The Korean carmaker has loaded its flagship sedan with several safety and comfort features. The new Sonata launched today comes with six airbags, electronic stability programme (ESP) along with traction control system, anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brake-force distribution(EBD).

Some of the features the enhance the driving experience and comfort in the new Sonata are smart key with push button start, vacuum florescent display cluster and rear view camera.

Powered by a 2.4-litre GDi petrol engine that can generate 200bhp and 255Nm of torque the Fluidic Sonata can pick up good speeds on the highway. Designed to deliver a good ride along with a sporty performance, the new Sonata is a car that can be driven in as well as drive. The GDi engine offers improved performance as well as fuel efficiency.

Hyundai Motor India's Managing Director and CEO Mr B S Seo speaking after the lauch of the Sonata said: “The all new Sonata powered by our GDi engine offers best-in-class features. Competitively priced the Sonata offers a stylish new choice to the premium customer.”

The Hyundai Sonata has been Hyundai's flagship sedan since many years. It has been a competitor of cars such as the Toyota Camry and Hyundai Accord. The new Fluidic design and improved features will give it a much needed refresher to take on competition with more vigour.
