Chevrolet Trailblazer Launched in Thailand

The new SUV will be based on General Motors' new body-on-ladder platform and will come with two and four-wheel-drive configurations. If the Trailblazer comes to India, it could be reportedly placed below the Captiva at about Rs 17 lakhs.
The new SUV is powered by GM's four-cylinder Duramax turbo-diesel engines, that features 2.5L and 2.8L displacements for 150 hp, 258 lb ft of torque (350 Nm) and 180 hp, 346 lb ft of torque (470 Nm) respectively. The former will be mated to a 5 speed manual transmission while the later will be mated to a six speed automatic transmission.
The Trailblazer is a 7 seater SUV which is quite practical with a 60:40 second row split section and a 50:50 third row section. The SUV will give a hard competition for SUVs like Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour when it starts selling in India.
