Audi TT To Be Launched On March 23

The 2012 Audi TT carries the same design philosophy of its predecessor but there are dynamic changes to the frontal design. The styling is markedly different in the front with new headlights, new bumper, fog lamps and a more dominant grille. The rear design remains unchanged but for new tail lights and tail spoiler.
We also expect some changes to the engine set up. Audi could be following other sports car manufacturers who are offering more powerful yet more fuel efficient engines. The TT has been launched in the international market with a 1.8-litre TSI 60bhp petrol engine, a two litre 211bhp TFSi engine and and two litre 170bhp Tdi engine. These engines are mated either to a six speed manual or a six speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.
The TT's Launch will bring Audi's first new car to India this year. The car is not expected to be any wonders in the market. Audi India only wants the TT to build its brand image and is expecting to sell about 50 units per year. We expect the new Audi TT to priced around Rs.60 lakhs presenting a competition to the Mercedes-Benz SLK and the likes.
The Audi TT's launch is expected to be followed by Audi launching its Q3 entry level premium SUV.
