Rolls-Royce Opens New Showroom In Chandigarh

Rolls-Royce has been encouraged by the high number of interested buyers coming from Chandigarh. It felt it could cater to these buyers more easily while in Chandigarh rather than from Delhi. It is very ambitious in its plans for India and is hoping to increase its presence in the country. This is the second showroom the British luxury carmaker has opened this year.
Rolls-Royce is a very familiar name among Indians. The brand has had a century old relationship with India. Many maharajas of pre-independence India owned Rolls-Royce's premium cars and now millionaires and billionaires are its new customers.
The Extended Wheel Base Ghost is Rolls-Royce's sixth model in India. It joins the Phantom's coupe, sedan, convertible as well as extended wheel base variants and the standard Ghost. The EWB ghost is longer than the standard Ghost by 170mm which has resulted in an equal amount of additional leg space in the rear cabin. In an added specialty, The Ghost's interior is finished in teak wood sourced from Malabar, Kerala.
Paul Harris, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Regional Director, Asia Pacific who spoke at length about the company's plans for India said: “We have made no secret of our ambitions in India, a market with a century-old association with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Strategically we have identified Chandigarh as the perfect place to enter the next phase of expansion in India. We have already seen a healthy amount of interest from Chandigarh based customers and I have every confidence in the potential of this highly important territory."
