Maruti Joins SUV Race With XA Alpha

Maruti Suzuki has been a small car specialist for long and it has finally decided to expand its wings. The first different product from the Indian market leader was the RIII concept that has now emerged as the Ertiga MPV. Maruti Suzuki has unveiled a new comncept cehiicle at the recently concluded Delhi Auto Expo called the XA Alpha.

With Maruti bringing a production redy version of the RIII compcept within two years we expect the XA Alpha also to hit the market soon. Although Maruti Suzuki has said the XA Alpha was a concept in development we believe it will make it to the Indian road much sooner than the Ertiga considering the increasing demand for Compact SUVs.

The XA Alpha has been designed to offer the performance of a sedan, the space, off-roadabiliuty and the stance of a SUV but with a fuel economy of a hybrid. Its peppy design and stylish interior will definitely make a mark in the market.

The carmaker is yet to reveal any pricing details of this concept compact SUV. We will not be surprised if it will be the most affordable car in the segment considering Maruti Suzuki"s prowess of building affordable cars
