Maruti Suzuki Planning Ritz Update Soon

Maruti Suzuki Ritz
The Maruti Suzuki Ritz has long been in the shadow of the Swift despite sharing the same petrol and diesel engines. The Ritz has been appreciated by its buyers. It also has a long list of fans too. The Maruti Suzuki Ritz's Facebook fan page currently has more than nine lakh fans. Now thats something for a car that has always been considered as a cheaper alternative to the Swift.

Latest news on the Ritz is that Maruti Suzuki is now developing an updated Ritz. While this might be surprising for some it is not unexpected. This is because the Ritz is also a global car from Suzuki very much similar to the Swift. While the Swift has got an update in August last year, the Ritz is yet to follow.

The Ritz is available with both petrol and diesel engines. Both these engines are the same ones found in the old Swift. With the Swift getting more efficient engines, the Ritz is also be powered be them. Reports say Maruti Suzuki is also planning to add its double fuel engine to the Ritz. This double fuel engine can run on both petrol and CNG.

Sources say the launch of the Ritz update can happen in a few months. The Ritz has been liked for its height, space and comfort and also for being affordable. The Ritz has been doing well in terms of sales too. Maruti Suzuki would have suffered a major drop in sales had the Ritz not had the same engine options as the Swift. Many people who wanted to buy the Swift ended up buying the Ritz after deciding not to wait for the Swift.

We expect the updated Ritz to carry on the good work it has done so far. An updated interior along with more new features can be expected. Stay tuned with Drivespark.com to get updates on the Ritz update.
