Maruti Ertiga MPV To Sail To Indonesia In May
With the shipping of the Ertiga MPV, Maruti Suziki hopes to increase its market share in the Indonesian market which currently stands at 3%.India is the country where the carmaker enjoys the largest market share with around 60% of the total market.
The Ertiga will be exported as a completely-knocked down unit and assemble it in Indonesia. Maruti Suzuki India Chief Managing Executive Officer and National Marketing and Sales-Head Mayank Pareek at Ertiga's Bangalore launch said that the company will increse production of diesel vehicles by 1.50 million units.
The Ertiga MPV will be available with both petrol and diesel engines. It is the diesel Ertiga which is expected to sell more than the petrol variant considering the high demand of diesel cars in the country. The Ertiga diesel comes with a starting price of Rs 7.3 lakhs. It claims a great mileage of 20 kmpl.
