2012 Mitsubishi Outlander - For Your Eyes Only
The Outlander has been one of the mainstay models in the Mitsubishi line up. Although Mitsubishi made its name as a rally specialist with the Lancer, it has been the Outlander that has reached more people across the globe. The 2012 Outlander promises to offer more than the current model as it will be getting two brand new engines.
The two new engines will be revised versions of Mitsubishi's 2.0-litre MIVEC petrol and 2.2-litre MIVEC clean diesel engine. Moreover, the Outlander will now be available with a hybrid powertrain too, making it an eco friendly option. The hybrid version of the Outlander will be launched only in select markets.
The Mitsubishi luxury sports utility vehicle will be available with both two wheel drive and four wheel drive. It also comes with an eco drive system that reduces fuel consumption. Some of the interesting features of the 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander are stop-start system, a 'Forward Collision Mitigation System, a lane departure warning system and active cruise control and a six-speed automatic gearbox
Mitsubishi has only revealed the front look of the car. The design appears to be following Mitsubishi's design concept of 'solid, simple and safe. The look is more conventional. The front exterior is dominated by a wide vision xenon lamps. But the interior features will make an interesting reading as it will come with a slew of upgrades such as a multi-function steering wheel, redesigned dash and instrument panel.
