Maruti Ertiga's Interior & Safety Features
The Maruti Ertiga is based on the Ritz platform. While the size and design do not reveal much of the Ritz's features, you can definitely see the Ritz when you enter the Ertiga. The dashboard and steering have a close similarity to that of the the new Swift while the fabrics and plastics are similar to the ones used in the Ritz.
The cabin of the Ertiga is more spacious and hence feels a little more comfortable. The touch and feel of the cabin is also of top quality. Without doubt the interior of the Ertiga gives a premium feel that you will not expect in a car that is priced under Rs.6 lakhs.

The Ertiga will be available with a five and seven seat layout making it a very practical family car. The rear and middle split seats will mean you can carry as much luggage as possible. The middle row has a 60: 40 split while the rear seat has a 50:50 split.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga safety features
The low price for the entry level variant means only the mid level Vxi, Vdi and top end Zxi and Zdi variants get all safety features. Airbags, ABS and EBD are standard safety features in the top and mid level variants of the Ertiga.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga – Design
There has been much discussion about the exterior design of the Ertiga. It was a shockingly beautiful car when it was unveiled as the RIII concept. Some of the design features might have mellowed down when the RIII became the Ertiga. But the design is still very pleasing to the eye.
