Volvo Launches New XC60 SUV At Rs.34.4 Lakhs
The new XC60 is cheaper than the model it replaces. Volvo has fiddled with the engine to bring the production cost down. The previous XC60 was powered by a D5 diesel engine while the new one gets a tweaked D3 engine.
The five cylinder D3 engine is a turbocharged pot that delivers 163bhp and 400Nm of torque. Paired with an automatic six-speed transmission, the XC60's engine sends its power to all for wheels. Volvo has not revealed the performance figures of the SUV. But who would want to know when you have 163bhp at your disposal.
The D3 engine is also expected to be used in the soon to be launched S60 sedan too. The Volvo XC60 is aimed at other premium SUVs such as the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and the Mercedes-Benz GL Class. One of its biggest selling points is its price. It is priced much lower than its competitors despite being imported from Europe.
The XC60 will be a good SUV to go o a long road trip. It offers the space and comfort of an SUV. It has the necessary power to handle any type of conditions. To add to this it comes with Volvo's promise of safety.
