Mahindra Racing Wins Second Race In A Row
The race was an exciting one with places changing regularly during the race. Ricardo Moretti started the race well and finished the race in the lead without much difficulty. Sarath Kumar finshed 7th gaining his first international points.
Mahindra has been promoting its racing arm and has been grooming Sarath Kumar since many months. Expressing his happiness over the race results, Anand Mahindra – VC and MD – Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. Said: “ We are ecstatic about our second consecutive win in the Italian Championship today. Riccardo Moretti has shown tremendous skill and expertise in negotiating the circuit under damp conditions. We are particularly proud of our fellow Indian Sarath Kumar for scoring his first ever International points.”
Sarath Kumar in his statement to the media said: “It is a great great feeling of pride and satisfaction for having scored my first points in an International championship. I am thankful to all the encouragement and support given to me by my team, my manager and the Mahindra Group.”
Mahindra Racing started its campaign in the Italian Moto GP with a victory on March 25th with Riccardo Moretti leading the race from the beginning. Sarath Kumar had to prematurely end that race due to a technical issue in his motorcycle.
