Jaguar Announces Building New F-Type Sports Car

The name has been taken from one of Jaguar's most iconic sports cars ever. The new F-Type is a result of the extremely positive response Jaguar's C-X16 concept received from the public. The new F-Type super car is expected to hit the market by the middle of next year.
Jaguar Cars Global Brand Director Adrian Hallmark in a statement announcing the launch of the new F-TYpe said: “We showed the C-X16 concept in September 2011 and the reaction to it has been so positive that we've accelerated our development of an all-new Jaguar sports car. That car will be called the F-Type and it will be unveiled in production form later this year.”
Jaguar will announce the full technical specification of the F-Type before the end of this year and the car might make its debut by the middle of next year. Jaguar has said the new F-Type will be a all aluminium convertible. In its statement, the Tata Motors owned British carmaker said: “A range of petrol engines will be available, including a new powerplant family, and all will deliver stunning sports car performance... The core appeal of Jaguar's cars is their sporting heart and that heart will beat stronger than ever before in the F-Type
Jaguar currently builds the XF sedan, XJ saloon and the XK convertible. Jaguar's historic cars such as the C-Type, D-Type. E-Type and the F-Type have created a legacy for the carmaker that has made it a challenge to create a new car that will carry the same spirit.
