Chevrolet Launches Neo Tavera 3 At Rs.6.72 Lakhs
The Tavera has been a very important car for the American carmaker. It has been the model that generated commercial sales even before the Spark and the Beat made an impact. It is used widely as a long distance tourer by families as well as commercial operators. The model faced some competition after the arrival of new MPVs such as the Mahindra Xylo, Toyota Innova and the Tata Aria.
This resulted in Chevrolet going back to the drawing board to give the Tavera a renewed look and feel. The result is the Tavera Neo 3 which arrives with new headlights with integrated side indicators, redesigned front grille and a more upright frontal design. The Chevrolet bow tie emblem is now more visible adding to the boldness of the Tavera Neo 3's design.
The interior of the new Tavera also gets a refreshed look with more comfortable seating, better materials and more space that has been created by subtle changes to the seating arrangement and roof lining. Buyers can choose the number of seats they want the new Tavera too. It is available with 6,7,8,9 and 10 seater options.
The Tavera Neo is powered by a two litre direct injection engine confirming to BS II standards. A BS IV compliant Tavera is still in development and is expected to hit the market soon. The price range of the Tavera Neo 3 is between Rs.6.72 lakh for the entry level Neo 3 LS and Rs.10.02 lakhs for the Neo 3 LT.
One interesting aspect about the new Tavera is the timing of its launch. It has been launched just a day before the launch of the Mahindra Xylo, one of its closest competitors.
