Renault Launches New E4 Fluence Diesel At Rs 15L
Renault India has launched the new 2012 top end E4 Fluence diesel sedan at a price tag of Rs 15.20 lakh(ex-showroom Delhi). The new Fluence comes with an upgraded diesel engine and a host of new features.
The Fluence e4 now gets a Mercedes Benz touch as the new engine is jointly co-developed by Merc's parent company Daimler and Renault. The new Fluence comes with a more powerful 1.5 liter common rail turbo diesel K9K engine that produces 108 Bhp-240 Nm as against the previous figures of 105 Bhp-240 Nm. The engine has also been tweaked to deliver linear power without lag. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission and claims overall fuel economy of 20.4kmpl.
Renault Fluence offers great ride comfort, thanx to its advanced suspension system. The carmaker hasn't made any changes to the exterior design while the interior gets plusher with leather spec and additional features. The features include rain-sensing wipers, premium fabric upholstery, rear parking sensors, automatic headlamps, rear sunblinds, an electrochrome rear view mirror, Bluetooth and USB connectivity and even top notch safety features like side-chest level airbags (front seats).
Reanult seems to have paid justice by pricing the new Fluence at Rs 15 lakh range with an upgraded engine, uncompromising level of equipments, safety features and connectivity options that come in par with its petrol variant. The new car will compete with the likes of Chevrolet Cruze, Toyota Altis, Skoda Laura and so.
Renault India MD Marc Nassif spoke at the launch, "The Fluence was the first offering from Renault in India. We are highly pleased with the product's performance and it has been very well accepted by Indian customers. The upgraded Fluence is all about out committment to the Indian market and is a result of the feedback we have recieved."
